2006 was another outstanding year for Foothills Family Resources. One of our highlights is that we celebrated the Agency's 20th Anniversary. I found myself very proud to be part of a non-profit organization that has carried on the tradition of its founders. Thanks to a strong knowledgeable Board and compassionate and competent Staff, we were able to continue fulfilling our Vision and Mission goals.
I am extremely grateful to our founding father, former Representative Dill Blackwell, Senator Verne Smith, Representative Harry Cato and our new Senator, Lewis Vaughn. Without political and community support, we would not be nearly as successful as we have been. I have learned that there are so many caring individuals here in our great area. Community donations and donor time has increased three-fold over the last few years.
Serving on the Board for the past six years has opened my eyes to so many opportunities for sharing with those less fortunate. This last year I have had the privilege to serve as Board President. It has been an honor for me to serve along with the wonderful members who comprise the Board of Directors. Their commitment has been both motivational and inspirational to me and to others striving to improve the quality of life in Northern Greenville County.
